Corbyn suspended by Kier Starmer over antisemitism
The former leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn has been suspended from Labour following his response to a report investigating antisemitism in the party. An investigation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission found the Labour Party could be seen “at worst” to accept antisemitism and is responsible for "unlawful" harassment and discrimination under Corbyn’s leadership. It also found the former Leader of the Labour Party’s office interfered in dozens of internal investigations into antisemitism, including a complaint against Jeremy Corbyn for supporting a mural which was seen by many as racist.
Sir Keir Starmer removed the whip from Mr Corbyn and suspended him just hours after the former Labour leader said accusations of antisemitism was had been overblown for political purposes.
