Set a reminder to watch live on January 27 at 12:15 p.m. ET: White House press secretary Jen Psaki is holding her daily briefing. She will be joined by special presidential envoy for climate John Kerry and national climate adviser Gina McCarthy.

Later Wednesday, President Biden will speak about his administration’s plan to tackle climate change and sign executive actions. His remarks are expected at 1:30 p.m. ET.

As part of his actions, Mr. Biden will direct the interior secretary to freeze new oil and gas leases on public lands or offshore waters "to the extent possible" and review existing leasing and permitting practices related to fossil fuel development on federal lands and water.
