HEARTBREAKING moment Turkish rescuers pull 70-year-old from earthquake wreckage, 56 hours after the building collapsed.
The man, identified by the group’s secretary-general as Ubeyd El Salih, was pulled out alive at 12:35 pm local time.
Speaking on Wednesday, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the latest figure for confirmed deaths in his country was 8,574.
Video posted by Memur-Sen Konfederasyonu shows the man emerging from the rubble, awake and moving, before being loaded onto a stretcher by uniformed rescue crews. His condition was not immediately clear.
