COVID-19: Sajid Javid wants to ditch PCR tests for travellers 'as soon as I possibly can'.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid says he is committed to removing the need for travellers to take PCR tests "as soon as possible".

Mr Javid said: "We’ve got a huge number of defences of course we still want to remain very cautious.

"When it comes to travel there are some rules that will have to remain in place but the PCR test that’s required upon return to the UK - look, I want to try and get rid of that as soon as I can.

"The moment we can lets get rid of this time of intrusion and the cost to families."
