Ninth child dies in Strep A outbreak
Pupils at schools hit by Strep A outbreaks could be prescribed antibiotics to stop the spread of the infection.
Nine children have died so far in the outbreak, the latest named as five-year-old Stella-Lily McCorkindale from Belfast.
Alder Hey Children's Hospital in the North West is reporting its busiest two days on record, as medics deal with the rise in cases of Strep A and Scarlet Fever.
