New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio announced proof of vaccination against the coronavirus will be required for both workers and customers for indoor activities. This the first major city in the U.S. to impose such restrictions as cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant are on the rise. Another surge of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border is sparking new concerns about the overcrowding creating a dangerous health environment in light of the spiking COVID-19 Delta variant. The Biden administration announced on Monday it would continue enforcement of the Trump-era policy, Title 42, allowing U.S. border officials to expel migrants to their home countries amid the global pandemic.
