A policeman punched and knocked unconscious a protester during Monday night's rowdy demonstrations against French President Emmanuel Macron's plans to raise the retirement age by two years to 64.
An eyewitness told Reuters the protester remained unconscious for about five minutes after being hit by a policeman in riot gear, who then walked away, the eyewitness video showed.
After the footage went viral, Paris police chief Laurent Nunez said there would be an investigation. (Reuters)
