Mission is over for troops but not left with a feeling of celebration.
The operation may be over but it is thought around 1,000 Afghans, who worked with the UK over the past 20 years, are being left behind.
The troops who dealt with the complex security will fly back over the next days after they helped to evacuate nearly 15,000 people since the airlift began.
