RUSSIAN artillery forces fire explosive self-propelled howitzer weapons at Ukrainian targets in the middle of a battle field.
Footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defence shows soldiers brutally firing Soviet-designed 152-mm self-propelled howitzers "Msta-S" at military targets in Ukraine.
The Russian MoD said: “Artillery units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation perform fire missions to destroy artillery batteries, destroy defensive structures, suppress command posts, destroy fire weapons, weapons and military equipment of the enemy.”
“High-explosive shells are used to destroy fortifications, which allows you to inflict maximum damage on fortifications, including deep concrete enemy fortifications,” added the ministry.
