Storm Blankets Jordan in Snow

Snow covered major parts of Jordan into Thursday after a winter storm hit the kingdom.

Authorities decided to suspend the working hours of all institutions on Thursday because of the harsh weather.

In the capital, Amman, some locals braved the cold weather to play in the snow and enjoy themselves, while others struggled to clear their trapped vehicles.

A winter storm has brought extreme weather to several countries in the region, disrupting traffic and postponing COVID-19 vaccination campaigns.
