Labour MP defends «perfectly legitimate donor» from Dale Vince.
Shadow Trade Secretary Nick Thomas-Symonds has defended Labour's actions in taking money from Dale Vince, a businessman and Just Stop Oil donor.
He said Mr Vince is a "perfectly legitimate donor" and his contributions to the party have not impacted Labour's stance on disruptive climate protests - including supporting injunctive action.
Mr Thomas-Symonds also added that Gary Smith, the head of the GMB union, who said that Sir Keir Starmer's oil and gas plan would create a "cliff-edge" in 2050 for those in the petrochemical industry, was right to raise the issue.
