Coronavirus UK: Lockdown eases with barbecues, markets and schools reopening.

The UK’s lockdown rules were eased today, with people being freer to socialize and meet their families and friends. Boris Johnson announced last week that the UK had passed his 5 tests to start easing lockdown measures, meaning from today people can meet up with up to 6 people and have friends round for barbeques. However, at the weekend many were already meeting people outside their households at beaches and parks.

The relaxed rules state outdoor markets and car showrooms can reopen, some horseracing has restarted and vulnerable people who were told to self-isolate can go outside again. However, social distancing rules remain in place, meaning people still have to keep a 2-metre distance from each other. Furthermore, when meeting other people it must be outside, for example in your park or garden.
