A protest was held outside an Afghanistan university in the eastern city of Jalalabad, video released Wednesday showed, after the Taliban-run administration said women would be suspended from tertiary education.
Groups of men and women stood outside Nangarhar University holding up signs and chanting.
The decision to bar women was announced on Tuesday (December 20) evening in a letter to universities from the higher education ministry, drawing condemnation from foreign governments and the United Nations.
