Birmingham: Woman found dead after house destroyed in suspected gas explosion.

A woman has been found dead at the scene of a suspected gas explosion that destroyed a house in Birmingham and damaged others.

A man also suffered "very significant injuries" and is in "life-threatening condition" following the blast in Kingstanding.

West Midlands Fire Service's Martin Ward-White gave this statement.
