BREAKING: Grant Shapps confirms the countries on COVID travel 'red list' from next week.

47 countries will be removed from the red list so travellers from those nations will no longer have to quarantine in a government-approved hotel.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps called it 'a major step forward'.

The only countries to remain on the red list from Monday at 4am will be Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
