Clean-Up Begins After Deadly Earthquake in Albania

▶️ Workers in the Albanian town of Durres, Monday, December 2, began tearing down buildings damaged by last week's earthquake.
👉 Teams of international and local experts have been assessing the safety of damaged buildings in the affected areas. Fifty-one people died as a result of the 6.4-magnitude quake, the country's worst ever, which struck on Tuesday, November 26, centered 30 kilometers west of the capital Tirana.
Dozens of structural engineers from Europe and elsewhere are heading to Albania to help rebuild the country after a devastating earthquake last month killed at least 51 people and destroyed thousands of buildings, officials said Monday.
The European Union and the United Nations are coordinating international efforts to assist Albania. (AP/Reuters)
