Germany is extending its coronavirus shutdown by three weeks to the 28th of March - though some restrictions will be eased to allow more shops and other businesses to reopen where infection rates are relatively low. The chancellor - Angela Merkel - is facing growing pressure because of the slow roll-out of vaccines.
