He also said Russia is trying to blackmail the international community by offering to unblock Black Sea ports in return for relaxed sanctions.

He believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to go far and beyond to maintain his power. The US-born British financier and political activist is the CEO and co-founder of Hermitage Capital Management, which was once the largest foreign portfolio investor in Russia. Browder challenged large Russian firms, including Gazprom. He was declared a threat to Russian national security more than 15 years ago.
