Donald Trump tests positive for COVID-19 & begins quarantine in White House.

Donald Trump has tested positive for COVID-19, along with his wife the First Lady Melania Trump.

The President tweeted they will begin their quarantine and “get through this together”.

Hope Hicks, an aide to the President tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, promoting the Trump family to also get tested. Hicks had travelled on Air Force One with Trump on the way to the first Presidential debate.

Donald Trump, who turns 75 next year, is in the high-risk category for those affected by the disease due to his age. However, his physician has released a statement confirming both the President and his wife are well at this stage and will isolate themselves in the White House.

The quarantine may impact the President’s reelection campaign, with the vote just one month away. It is unclear whether the second debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump will go-ahead, which was due to take place on 15th October in Miami.
