Donald Trump told reporters yesterday that the US leading the world in COVID-19 cases was a 'good thing' and that he viewed it as 'a badge of honour'.

The US president said that the high number of cases in the US was an indication of the high number of tests being carried out in the country.

America is the worst hit nation in the Covid-19 pandemic with more than 93,500 deaths so far.

And there are now 1.57million cases - five times as many as the next highest country Russia with 308,000.
