Putin will take advantage of 'any disunity and weakness'.

Shadow Attorney General Emily Thornberry has said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin will "take advantage of any disunity and any weakness" and Labour stands with the government on this issue.

She also told Trevor Phillips that it is up to backbench Conservative MPs, not the Labour Party, to decide Boris Johnson's future.

She added: "I would encourage backbench MPs to put the letters in and then we will hear from Sue Gray, let's take this thing step by step."
