Working around clock to restore Ukraine's power following Russian missile attack says Zelenskyy.

Russia unleashed a missile barrage across Ukraine on Wednesday, killing 10 people, forcing shutdowns of nuclear power plants and cutting water and electricity supply in many places.

During his regular nightly video address, Zelenskyy recounted the work that had been carried out to restore services to multiple regions.

"Very difficult situation in Kyiv. Works will continue throughout the night. We expect the result already tomorrow, in the first half of the day. Likewise in all other cities and communities that were affected or were left without power," Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy had earlier told a United Nations Security Council meeting that Ukraine was waiting to see "a very firm reaction" to Wednesday's air strikes from the world, he added.

The council is unlikely to take any action in response to the appeal since Russia is a member with veto power.
