Watch live: Biden, Harris announce picks for Treasury department, economic teams.

Set a reminder to watch live on December 1 at 12:30 p.m. ET: President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will formally announce their nominees and appointees to economic posts. The transition team announced the key members on Monday. If approved by the Senate, several would break barriers, including nominee for Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who would be the first woman to lead the department.

In addition to Yellen, the president-elect announced:

• Neera Tanden for director of the Office of Management and Budget

• Wally Adeyemo for deputy Treasury secretary

• Cecilia Rouse for chair of the Council of Economic Advisers

• Jared Bernstein as Council of Economic Advisers member

• Heather Boushey as Council of Economic Advisers member
