Wednesday’s pro-Trump rally was held on the day Congress was set to vote to affirm Joe Biden’s win in the Electoral College. However, the vote was halted after demonstrations turned violent and protesters breached the Capitol.

The mob of Trump supporters gained access into the Capitol, sparking a lockdown and activation of the DC National Guard, reports said. At least one person was reportedly shot inside the Capitol.
