Bear Trapped in Car Tire Freed in Russia

A bear that got trapped in an automobile tire was rescued by emergency workers in Russia's Moscow region.

Staff from the Center of Rescue rapid response unit tranquilized the 400-kilogram (882-pound) animal, named Fyodor, and cut through the tire.

It took them about seven minutes to free the bear.

Russia's Emergency Ministry reported in its Telegram channel that the incident happened in Rus National Equestrian Park, around 35 km southeast from central Moscow. (Reuters)
