President: We remember every defender who died for Ukraine.

During a working trip to eastern Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the frontline positions of Ukrainian servicepersons, where the largest number of violations of the comprehensive and permanent ceasefire regime had been recorded.

Zelensky talked to the military serving on the front line, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the head of state.

The defenders told the president about the situation at the front.

"Thank you for keeping people calm and defending our land. You are a true example of heroism and dedication. We remember every soldier who died defending our state," the president said.

Those present observed a minute of silence in memory of the soldiers who died in the battles for the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Zelensky presented Ukrainian defenders with state awards and valuable gifts.

The president had lunch with the servicemen in their canteen.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working trip to eastern Ukraine on April 8.
