Kyiv region police look for a citizen of the Russian Federation who escaped from the detention during the transfer to the remand prison as the National Police in Kyiv region reported on Facebook.

The citizen of the Russian Federation, wanted by the law enforcement bodies of Russia for the commitment of the number of crimes, was detained in Boryspil Airport by the border guards and employees of the International Police Cooperation Department.

“For further extradition to the home country of a 51-year-old foreigner, the protocol of detention of a person is compiled for his stay in the remand center until adoption of the decision by the court. However, during the transfer of foreigner-perpetrator to the remand center, he escaped,” the National Police noted.

The internal investigation was appointed due to the fact of escape.
