Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 12,158 children and 14,165 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the epidemic.

"In the past day, 3,497 people tested positive for the coronavirus, including 288 children and 140 healthcare workers. Some 711 new patients were hospitalized. There were 63 deaths and 1,768 recoveries," he said at a briefing on September 23, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.

As many as 81,669 patients have already recovered.
