The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has called for a realistic assessment to be made of Russia's actions to prevent it from using disinformation as a pretext for aggression.
That is according to the embassy's Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.
"Let's get real, Russia is the only country building up troops to threaten its neighbors. Don't let Russia use disinformation and false narratives as a pretext for aggression," U.S. diplomats said.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said on December 3 that Ukrainian intelligence was analyzing all scenarios for a possible large-scale Russian invasion, adding that Russia could be ready for escalation in late January next year.
According to Reznikov, the total number of troops in Russia, as well as in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, which may be used for escalation, is now estimated at 94,300 people.
