The shades were spotted by a shopper in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, and her post has so far racked up more than 2,900 likes and 2,500 comments.

One user joked with her friend and said: "You've probably already got these seeing as you have Christmas toilet covers."

While another added: "We have to get these for the hall and living room."

And a third one said: "I can see this is gonna be your Xmas!!!!!"

Poundland hasn't yet said whether the shades are available in all stores nationwide, but the shopper told The Sun she got them in the retailer's branch in Bury, Lancashire.

The bargain shop also hasn't clarified the size of the lamps, but judging by the picture they look big enough to replace your ceiling lamp shades.

Poundland has 850 stores across the UK. You can find your nearest one using its store locator tool.

The shades are the cheapest we could find of its kind, as what appears to be the same two-packs are up for grabs on eBay for a pricier £1.79.

Alternatively, you can order another similar light shade featuring Santa on eBay for £2.69.

Asda is selling a unicorn-shaped Christmas light so you can brighten up your home this winter.

You might also want to take a look at Aldi's battery-driven wood burner lantern.

Or if you're struggling to stay warm during the winter, you'll want to check out body length hot water bottles up for grabs at Poundstretcher.
