Ukraine grateful to Qatar for assistance in returning Ukrainian citizens home.

Ukraine is grateful to Qatar for the assistance in returning Ukrainian citizens from Qatar to Ukraine, as well as for their transit from Indonesia and Thailand via the city of Doha.

“Prompt and effective decisions of our Qatari partners facilitated the safe return of Ukrainians to the homeland,” Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said in a phone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Ministry’s press service reports.

According to minister Kuleba, Ukraine and Qatar should further develop their cooperation, primarily by the increase of Qatari investment in Ukraine and bilateral trade.

The foreign minister also reaffirmed the invitation of the President of Ukraine to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar to visit Ukraine.
