According to the Migration Service of Japan, there are about 2,000 Ukrainian citizens in the country’s territory. There is no information about the infected among the people who are listed, except for the crew members of the Diamond Princess cruise liner. This was reported by UNN with reference to the response of the Ukraine's Embassy in Japan to the information request.
"According to the Migration Service of Japan, there are about 2,000 Ukrainian citizens in the country. Almost half of them are registered at a consular account at the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan," the diplomat said.
The diplomats reminded that the citizens of Ukraine should go to medical institutions in case there are signs of respiratory diseases.
"Information about the infected citizens of Ukraine, except for the crew members of the Diamond Princess cruise liner, is not available. Ukrainian citizens who have been infected and are in hospitals will be released after the results of the two tests are negative and Japanese doctors make a decision on their discharge," the statement reads.
As we reported earlier, the fourth passenger from the Diamond Princess cruise liner, which was quarantined at off the coast in Japan, has died after testing positive for the new coronavirus.
He was a Japanese man in his 80s.
