Monastyrsky meets with U.S. Charge d'Affaires Kvien

The issue of strengthening the security of the Ukrainian state border is urgent and needs more attention, according to Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky.

He said this at a meeting with U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Kvien, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's press service reported.

"The issue of strengthening the security of the state border remains on the agenda of our meetings, but today this issue is urgent and needs more attention," Monastyrsky said.

Both parties discussed cooperation, as well as opportunities to strengthen interaction in the face of new threats to Ukraine.

Kvien, in turn, said the United States was ready to continue supporting the Ukrainian Interior Ministry in the event of escalation along Ukraine's borders.
