Highest number of new COVID-19 cases reported in Kyiv city, Kharkiv region.

The highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the past day has been confirmed in Kyiv city and Kharkiv region, according Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

“Over the course of the past day, the highest number of new confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv region - 426, including Kharkiv city - 349, Kyiv city- 416, Odesa region - 271, including Odesa city - 136, Dnipropetrovsk region - 200, including Dnipro city – 172, Sumy region - 195, including Sumy city – 154,” Stepanov said at a press briefing on September 29, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to data provided by the Health Ministry, 200 children and 158 health workers have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Some 614 people have been hospitalized.

As Ukrinform reported, on September 29, Ukraine recorded a total of 204,932 COVID-19 cases, including of 3,627 cases confirmed over the previous day.
