About coronavirus

At the beginning of the week, the WHO stated that the situation with the spread of the coronavirus can only turn out to be the "tip of the iceberg". Later, it was revealed that the official name of the new coronavirus from China is Covid-2019. Besides, the number of coronavirus cases in China increased by almost 15,000 after the method for counting infections was revised in the Hubei Province.

It was also underlined that the airborne transmission or direct contact is most frequent way of Covid-2019 transmission. WHO stated that two-thirds of the world population may get infected with the new Chinese coronavirus.

Meanwhile, there are two infected Ukrainians at Diamond Princes cruise liner. They stay in Japanese hospital. By the way, Diamond Princess with 174 infected people on board will be released from quarantine on February 19.

On February 10, the evacuation of the Ukrainians from Hubei was announced. However, the evacuation was postponed and later it was announced that the evacuation flight should take place on February 18.

On February 12, JSC Ukrainian Postal Service (UkrPoshta) temporarily suspended all kinds of delivering to China.

About Munich Security Conference

This week, it was reported that Zelensky would participate in Munich Security Conference on February 14-15. He will deliver an address at a separate session dedicated to Ukraine and will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of foreign countries. About case against Fedyna

The State Bureau of Investigation notified Sofia Fedyna, an MP from European Solidarity party, of suspicion and summoned for an interview, as she is suspected of "threatening to kill" President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

It is related to Fedyna’s video, which she released in autumn 2019 with volunteer Marusya Zvirobiy regarding Zelensky’s working visit to Donbas. The State Bureau of Investigation considered certain sentences "threatening" and opened the investigation against both of them.

Ukraine’s Semen Novikov won the European Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling. Ukrainian wrestler was able to secure the gold medal in 83kg division via a dominant victory over decorated Hungarian sportsman Viktor Lőrincz.

Oleksandr Usyk’s bout against Dereck Chisora was postponed. According to the co-promoter of the Ukrainian boxer, he has to deal with an injury of the left elbow. However, Usyk dismissed these claims, stating that “everything is great”.
