Ukraine intends to evacute its citizens from Japan

Ukraine is considering evacuating its citizens from Japan. The statement was made by Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko during a briefing, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

He also added that they had not yet received permission for evacuation.

"We also addressed the issues, suggested that the Ukrainians consider the possibility of their evacuation from Japan to Ukraine. So far, we have not received the consent for it. Therefore, the issue on control, but it is only on control, is not moving forward," Liashko said.

It is worth mentioning that a Ukrainian woman, who was infected with coronavirus at the board of Diamond Princess near Japan, successfully recovered from illness. She was discharged from the hospital and was transferred to the hotel.

As we reported earlier, according to the Migration Service of Japan, there are about 2,000 Ukrainian citizens in the country’s territory.

There is information about the infected citizens of Ukraine, except for the crew members of the Diamond Princess cruise liner.
