As of Thursday morning, some 5,039 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 6,568 people recovered and 124 patients died, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said.
"Some 5,039 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine as of February 11, 2021. In particular, 277 children and 281 medical workers fell ill. Some 1,784 people were hospitalized, some 124 people died and 6,568 people recovered over the past day," Stepanov said on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.
A day earlier, on February 10 there were 3,409 new cases; some 2,656 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on February 9; some 2,141 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded on February 8; there were 3,370 new cases on February 7; some 4,310 new cases of the disease were reported on February 6; some 4,923 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on February 5.
The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Tuesday morning was 1.258 million people, some 24,058 people died, and 1.099 million people recovered.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Ivano-Frankivsk (482), Vinnytsia (392), Zakarpattia (368), Zhytomyr (367) regions and Kyiv city (335).
