Two new cases of Covid-19 observed in Ternopil region.


Two cases of morbidity with coronavirus are reported in western Ukraine's Ternopil region. The press service of Ternopil HQ for fighting coronavirus reported this on March 24.

A resident of Monastyrysky district, born in 1996, is confirmed to have the virus. Another resident of the same district was taken to an intensive care unit.

Thus, four cases of Covid-19 were registered in this region.

Another case is observed in Brovary town, Kyiv region. 21-year-old girl was taken to a hospital; she is known to have contacted foreign citizens who apparently had the disease.

As of March 24, 2020, not a single case of Covid-19 was reported in the Ukrainian army. Colonel Andriy Halushka, the Deputy Commander of Medical Forces said so as quoted by ArmiaInform.

"Currently, 130 servicemen are staying home on self-isolation. These are the people who returned to Ukraine from abroad or contacted people who are now on observation", Halushka said. According to him, Medical Forces received 10,000 express tests; they will be redistributed among all military clinic centers, garrison and mobile hospitals in the area of Joint Forces Operation. Previously, regional centers received 20,000 respiratory masks.
