Zelensky appeals to world partners on keeping anti-Russian sanctions: You lose money, we lose people.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to the work partners of Ukraine to keep sanctions against Russia as 112 Ukraine reported broadcasting Yalta European Strategy YES-2019.

“Sometimes, they (the international partners, - 112.international) think about lifting the sanctions. You lose money, sorry, we lose people,” Zelensky said.

The president noted that the sanctions are the strict taxes in fact; they are necessary for the world order.

“If you like, it is the tax for peace. And until it is not restored, the sanctions should be kept,” the Ukrainian leader added.

As we reported the European Union extended sanctions against 170 Russian officials and 44 organizations for actions against the territorial integrity of Ukraine for six months.

On June 27, 2019, the EU officially upheld the decision to extend the economic sanctions against Russia until January 31, 2020. The decision was made after leaders of France and Germany, Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel made a joint report on the status of Minsk agreements' completion.
