Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and American philanthropist of Ukrainian descent George Chopivsky have discussed the importance of strengthening Ukraine's international image and the diaspora's assistance in attracting international investors to the country.
According to Ukrinform, the head of government wrote this on Telegram after a meeting with the businessman.
"We discussed the importance of strengthening Ukraine's international image and the diaspora's assistance in attracting international investors to our country. We have a common goal: Ukraine should become a regional leader in terms of political and economic development," Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, Ukrainians abroad are a driving force behind the promotion of the country in the world. "I was glad to meet with George Chopivsky, an American philanthropist of Ukrainian descent who is one of the sponsors of the Ukrainian program at Stanford University," he said.
Shmyhal also added that Chopivsky had been contributing to the development of Ukrainian business for many years and, together with his family, he had supported a number of humanitarian, charitable and cultural programs for the development of Ukrainian society.
