Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Senik has received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Ukraine Ayman Elgammal, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the agenda of bilateral Ukrainian-Egyptian relations.

Senik stressed the importance of enhancing political dialogue with Egypt.

The deputy minister and the ambassador praised the positive dynamics of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Egypt - the largest trading partner of our country on the African continent.

For reference: The total volume of trade in goods and services between Ukraine and Egypt in 2019 amounted to USD 2.631 billion. In 2019, 1.49 million Ukrainian tourists visited Egypt.
