The meeting of Normandy Four leaders will begin in Paris on December 9 at 17:00 Kyiv time (16:00 local time). This was reported by the representative of the German government Ulrike Demmer, Ukrinform informs.

“The four-sides working session should begin at 16:00 (local time, - ed.). The joint conference is scheduled for 19:00,” Demmer said.

It is reported that before the meeting, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will hold bilateral talks with Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Demmer noted that Berlin hopes that the result of the first three-year summit will be "a new impetus in the peace process and the coordination of new steps."

Earlier Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Normandy format meeting is already a victory, but he seeks to return with a concrete result.

“I want to return with specific things, with a concrete result. But we understand that we will not succeed in everything. The meeting is already a victory. We have unblocked it for 3 years, since 2016 there has been no dialogue, and therefore there was not even the opportunity to talk about ending the war. That's what I'm waiting for, what I'm looking for and really want to find," the president said.

Zelensky added he hoped for the support of other participants in the meeting. "I really want to believe that Germany and France will support us. And if something goes wrong, I will do everything for them to be on our side. Whatever it is, they say they believe that Europe supports Ukraine because we are right, "he said.
