Ukrainian forces repulse enemy assault in Sloviansk, Kurakhiv directions.

The Ukrainian Army has successfully repulsed an enemy assault in the Sloviansk direction, near Bohorodychne and Dolyna, as well as in the area of Maryinka (Kurakhove direction).

That’s according to an operational update as of 6:00 Kyiv time on June 21, delivered by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, seen by Ukrinform.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissya areas remains largely unchanged.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy pursues efforts to strengthen protection of the Russian-Ukrainian border. Russians fired on civilian infrastructure in the area of Seredyna-Buda, Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy's main efforts are focused on holding ground, trying to prevent Ukrainian units from reaching the rear of the Russian troops operating in the Sloviansk direction. The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Dmytrivka, Chuhuiv, Korobochkyne, Stara Hnylytsia, and Bazaliivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, near the Bohorodychne and Dolyna, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed enemy assaults.

The enemy artillery systematically shelled the areas of Hrushuvakha, Virnopillya, Adamivka, and Mazanivka, and inflicted air strikes on civilian infrastructure near Bohorodychne.

The enemy took no significant action in the Kramatorsk direction. They fired at the positions of the Ukrainian defense forces with artillery, MLR systems, and mortars along the line of contact.

In the Siverodonetsk direction, the enemy keeps shelling our troops, employing artillery of various calibres. Air strikes were reported near Ustynivka, Hirske, and Lysychansk. The Russians don’t stop the assault in order to establish full control over the city of Siverodonetsk. In addition to this locality, Ukrainian soldiers are successfully resisting the assaults in the areas of Syrotyne and Bila Hora.

In the Bakhmut direction, in the areas of the settlements of Mykolaivka, Vershyna, and Semyhirya, the enemy is conducting offensive operations; firefights continue. In addition, the enemy cynically rained fire on civilian infrastructure near Pokrovskе, Mykolayivka, and Bilohorivka.

In the Avdiivka area, an air strike hit the area near the village of New York.

The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Ocheretyne, Avdiyivka, Kamyanka, Netaylove, Mykilske, and Orikhove.

An air strike near Shcherbaky was recorded in the Kurakhove direction. Ukraine defenders have repulsed attempts at hostile assault near Maryinka, forcing the enemy to flee the area.

In the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhia directions, the enemy took no significant action.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy is suffering losses. Trying to contain Ukrainian defense forces, they employed artillery, mortars, and MLR systems at the Murakhivka, Topolyne, Bila Krynytsia, and Maryino districts. The enemy launched airstrikes at civilian infrastructure near Ochakivo and Kutsurub. Air reconnaissance missions with the use of UAVs continue.

At the same time, the enemy is strengthening the fortification of its advanced positions by building long-term firing points.

In the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, five high-precision missile carriers are in combat readiness to launch strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

According to available information, due to significant losses in the command staff of airborne units, the enemy is forced to recruit reserve officers for military service with short-term contracts for a period of three months.
