‘Praying for peace’: Cristiano Ronaldo greets participants in action to help Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
Cristiano Ronaldo greeted the participants in the charity auction, at which a T-shirt signed by him was sold for UAH 70,000 to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We have incredible news! The story with the T-shirt reached Cristiano Ronaldo and today we received the following reaction from the legendary football player: ‘I hope my shirt of the game with Ukraine in 2019, can help the young people to have a better future and want to congratulate the Ukrainian Association of Football for this action. Praying for peace - Cristiano Ronaldo’,” Save Ukraine Now center posted on Facebook.
As noted, the T-shirt signed by Ronaldo was sold for UAH 70,000 at the charity auction. The funds will be used to purchase medicines for the military.
As reported, the charity auction to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine lasted online from June 22 to 26. The T-shirt, signed by world-famous player Cristiano Ronaldo at the Portugal-Ukraine match on March 22, 2019 in Lisbon, belonged to a 14-year-old boy from Ivano-Frankivsk.
