Zelensky had a meeting in Jerusalem with Speaker of the Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein.
The introduction of a free trade area with Israel can help double trade turnover between the two countries in the short term, Volodymyr Zelensky said during his Israel visit.
During a meeting with Speaker of the Knesset, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, the parties commended the traditionally active bilateral political dialogue and expressed hope for maintaining its high dynamics after the parliamentary elections are held in Israel.
Recent achievements in bilateral relations development over the last decade have been noted, including the annual increase in tourism.
Since 2010, when the visa-free regime has been introduced between Ukraine and Israel, tourist flows have increased more than tenfold, negotiators said.
Volodymyr Zelensky stressed the importance of ratification by the Israeli party of the Free Trade Agreement between the states, which Ukraine ratified last August.
"The introduction of a free trade area can help double the trade turnover between the countries in the short term," Zelensky said.
