Crimean Tatars to go for international peaceful march, go to Crimea.


Crimean Tatar activists will go to the occupied Crimea within the international peaceful march dubbed Peace against violence and occupation. March of Dignity. Refat Chubarov, the head of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people posted that on Facebook.

According to him, currently, the activists already shaped the organization staff that is supposed to prepare the event.

"Participations of the meeting chose May 3, 2020 as the date of crossing (...) of the administrative line between Kherson region and the temporarily occupied Crimea", reads Chubarov's message.

Previously, Chubarov said Ukraine still has no tools to change the situation with the protection of human rights in the occupied Crimea and Donbas.

Earlier, Ukrainian ombudsman, Lyudmyla Denisova reported that Crimean Tatar Ayder Dzhaparov who is currently illegally held in Russia suffers from a tumor in his lower jaw. The tumor appears to be covering a part of his windpipe, too; that prevents the man from swallowing or opening his mouth. Denisova asked her Russian counterpart Tatyana Moskalkova to take urgent actions and see to it that Dzhaparov undergoes due medical examination and assistance.
