The decision to hold a new Normandy format summit will be made on the basis of progress in implementing the current agreements. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Grushko on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, RBC reports.
“The agreement was absolutely clear that the new meeting should summarize what was discussed at the previous meeting. This concerns the disengagement of forces, a ceasefire, clearance, exchange of prisoners, the introduction of the Steinmeier formula in Ukrainian law and some other things,” he said.
Grushko specified that the condition for holding the new Normandy meeting is “progress on a set of agreements: both on the security track and on the political track”.
As you know, negotiations on the settlement of Donbas conflict are conducted with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia. The date of the next Summit of the Normandy Four is still unknown, but the parties announced a new meeting four months later.
Earlier the scandalous plan of reconciliation between Ukraine and Russia by the authorship of three Western analytical centers and the Russian Council of International Affairs has again appeared on the website of the Munich Security Conference.
We recall that on February 14, at the Munich Security Conference, a plan to end the war in Ukraine, jointly developed by three international organizations and the Russian Council on Foreign Affairsб was unveiled. The plan caused fierce criticism because of its anti-Ukrainian orientation.
After a few hours, the text of the plan disappeared from the цуиsite but is now available again.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the plan to end the war in Ukraine, known as the “12 Steps to Peace in Donbas,” announced at the Munich Conference, is a private initiative, not an official document of the event.
