Two Celtic fans ‘stabbed by masked Lazio ultras’ in Rome bar ahead of Europa League clash.

ARMED Lazio ultras attacked a pub packed with Celtic fans reportedly stabbing two during a string of shocking attacks in Rome late last night.

The hardcore hooligans - who covered their faces with masks and scarves - ambushed those inside the Flann O’Brien bar at around 11.30pm.

Exact details of the incident are still sketchy however one fan posted an image showing bloody bandages on the pavement outside the bustling drinking hole.

BBC journalist Chris McLaughlin - in Italy to cover tonight's Europa League game between the two clubs - revealed local cops told him there were two victims.

Tutto Sport reports they are in their 30s and 50s and their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

One witness told how one was sitting outside with his girlfriend when he stabbed.

A video posted on Twitter also showed a separate group of Celtic fans being targeted in another pub in the city.

The thugs smash the windows of the bar as the owner quickly closed metal shutters to protect those inside.

One fan described the terrifying moment on Twitter.
