U.S. State Department confirms Pompeo's visit to Ukraine on January 30

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to visit Kyiv on January 30 as part of a planned trip to five countries, where he will meet with the top officials. This is said in the US Department of State message, published on January 24.

So, within the framework of the planned trip, from January 29 to February 4, Pompeo will pay visits to London, Kyiv, Minsk, Nur-Sultan and Tashkent.

The Secretary of State will arrive in Kyiv on January 30, where he will meet with President Zelensky, Foreign Minister Prystaiko, and Defense Minister Zagorodniuk.

The head of American diplomacy will also take part in the ceremony of laying flowers in commemoration of Donbas victims.

He will also meet with representatives of religious and public organizations, as well as with leaders of business communities.

Earlier, it was expected that Mike Pompeo will visit Ukraine on January 3. And on January 1, it became known that he had postponed his visit to Ukraine because of the situation in Iraq.
