Dynamo, Shakhtar win through to Europa League round of 16.

Ukrainian football clubs Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk have won through to the UEFA Europa League round of 16.

Following a 2-0 away victory at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv, Shakhtar defeated Maccabi 1-0 at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv on February 25, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Forward Junior Moraes scored from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.

Dynamo Kyiv, following a 1-1 draw with Brugge in Kyiv a week ago, defeated the Belgian club 1-0 away and will continue to play in the Europa League playoffs.

Midfielder Vitaliy Buyalskyi scored the winner at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges in the 83rd minute.

The draw for the Europa League round of 16 will be made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday, February 26. The first legs will take place on March 11, and the return matches will be played on March 18.
